Undergraduate Council and COVID-19 Updates

University Faculty and Staff are following the guidelines shared by President Washington outlined here: https://www2.gmu.edu/coronavirus

Undergraduate Council is being held remotely, via Webex. For information on Webex access and use, please visit: https://its.gmu.edu/service/webex/ 


The Undergraduate Council is responsible for reviewing and approving the creation, modification, or discontinuation of the following:

  • all undergraduate academic degree programs
  • certificate programs
  • new bachelor’s/accelerated master’s programs
  • minors
  • courses

The Undergraduate Council also monitors undergraduate program assessment and serves in an advisory capacity to the Senate regarding academic policies for undergraduates.

The Undergraduate Council meets monthly during the academic year, and meetings are open to the entire George Mason University community.
